Indiana High School Softball - Kankakee Valley holds off Lowell

Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lowell Red Devils (Lowell, IN), 9-7 in a league challenge.

The Kougars now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Hobart for a Northwest Crossroads challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Kankakee Valley will battle a Brickies squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Merrillville (Merrillville, IN). The Brickies record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Lowell falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Highland (Highland, IN) to battle the Trojans in a Northwest Crossroads challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Highland won 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hammond Central (Hammond, IN)
