The Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) baseball trounced the host New Hope-Solebury Lions (New Hope, PA), 12-3 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Upper Moreland for a Suburban One - Freedom challenge on Monday, April 28. Springfield Township will clash with a Bears team coming off a 10-0 league win over Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA). The Bears record now stands at 11-5.

With the defeat, New Hope-Solebury drops to 5-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA) to clash with the Panthers in a Suburban One - Freedom challenge on Monday, April 28. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Cheltenham won 12-3 in their recent league challenge against William Tennent (Warminster, PA)
