In Thursday's league game, the visiting Springfield Township Spartans baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Upper Moreland Bears.

The Spartans (12-3) will now prepare for their game against Germantown Friends (Philadelphia, PA). The go into the non-league game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, Germantown Friends nudged George School (Newtown, PA), 13-2, in a league game.

Next, the Bears play the New Hope-Solebury Lions (New Hope, PA) in a Suburban One - Freedom game, on Monday, May 5. Upper Moreland will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Lions go into the game with a 6-9 record after their 13-9 league win over Cheltenham (Wyncote, PA).
