In Thursday's non-league test, the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) softball squad got by the visiting Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN), by a count of 8-7.

Next, the Fighting 59ers meet the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights (Lafayette, IN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 26. Andrean will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 1-8 record after their 15-0 league loss to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN).

The Cherokees (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Senators go into the Porter County test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Washington Township held off DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN), 10-9, in a non-league test.
