Virginia High School Softball - Great Bridge gets by Western Branch

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), observed Great Bridge's softball team get by Western Branch by a tally of 3-2.

The Wildcats (8-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks go into the Southeastern bout with a 11-2 record. In their last bout, Hickory tipped King's Fork (Suffolk, VA), 11-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bruins clash with the Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 28. Western Branch will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 11-8 league win over Norcom (Portsmouth, VA).
