Illinois High School Softball - St. Joseph-Ogden bounces Mahomet-Seymour
April 25, 2024: St. Joseph, IL 61873 St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL), 11-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they host Monticello for a Illini Prairie challenge on Monday, April 29. St. Joseph-Ogden will face a Sages squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Sages record now stands at 13-11.
With the loss, Mahomet-Seymour falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host MacArthur (Decatur, IL) to face the Generals in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 5-13. MacArthur lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Normal University (Normal, IL)
