April 26, 2024: Providence, RI 02903 The Central Knights (Providence, RI) baseball nipped the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 13-12 in Friday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Knights play the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) in a Division 1 (State) contest, on Saturday, April 27. Central will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Thunderbolts enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 12-2 league loss to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI).
The Chieftains now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Chariho for a Division 2 contest on Monday, April 29. Ponaganset will play a Chargers squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Chargers record now stands at 3-5.
