Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV), 9-5 in a league test.

With the win, Preston upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Knights host Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV) to battle the Cee Bees in a non-league test on Monday, April 29. The Cee Bees come into the test with a record of 3-13. Clay-Battelle lost 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Linsly (Wheeling, WV)

With the defeat, Liberty falls to 3-19 on the season. The Mountaineers host Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, April 27. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 5-12. Braxton County won 9-5 in their recent league test against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV)
