April 26, 2024: Greenbelt, MD 20770 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (Greenbelt, MD) and the visiting Bowie Bulldogs (Bowie, MD), saw Eleanor Roosevelt's softball squad achieve victory over Bowie by a count of 23-0.
The Raiders now sport a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a non-league match on Saturday, April 27. Eleanor Roosevelt will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-8 league win over Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-9.
With the loss, Bowie falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD) to face the Wildcats in a Prince George's County 4A match on Wednesday, May 1. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-14. Northwestern won 1-0 in their recent league match against High Point (Beltsville, MD)
