The Lowell Red Devils triumphed over the visiting Merrillville Pirates softball squad by a count of 14-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Devils meet the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a Northwest Crossroads challenge, on Monday, April 28. Lowell will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.

The Pirates (1-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Hobart (Hobart, IN). The Brickies enter the non-league challenge with a 4-5 record.
