April 27, 2023: Woonsocket, RI 02895 In Thursday's league contest, the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) softball team held off the visiting Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Woonsocket moves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Villa Novans travel to Westerly (Westerly, RI) to play the Bulldogs in a Division 2 contest on Monday, May 1. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 3-5. Westerly lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI)
In their next game, the Broncos play the Toll Gate Titans (Warwick, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Monday, May 1. Burrillville will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 8-1 league loss to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI).
