Connecticut High School Softball - Darien bounces Staples
April 28, 2023: Westport, CT 06880 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Darien Blue Wave (Darien, CT) and the host Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), saw Darien's softball squad nip Staples by a count of 8-2.
The Blue Wave now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenwich for a Fairfield County match on Monday, May 1. Darien will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 15-4 league loss to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-12.
With the loss, Staples falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Wreckers host Warde (Fairfield, CT) to face the Mustangs in a Fairfield County match on Monday, May 1. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 5-6. Warde won 15-4 in their recent league match against Westhill (Stamford, CT)
