The Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD) baseball trounced the visiting Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD), 14-7 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Black Knights now own a 6-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Maryland Christian Academy for a Old Line challenge on Saturday, May 3. Avalon will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 6-3 league win over Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-8.

With the defeat, Sandy Spring Friends drops to 8-5 on the year. The Wildebeests travel to Spencerville Adventist Academy (Spencerville, MD) to clash with the Hornets in a Freelance challenge on Wednesday, April 30. The Hornets go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Spencerville Adventist Academy lost 16-6 in their recent league challenge against Burke (Washington, DC)
