New Jersey High School Softball - High Point bounces Newton
April 30, 2024: Sussex, NJ 07461 High Point Wildcats (Sussex, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Newton Braves (Newton, NJ), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. High Point will face a Spartans squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Montville (Montville, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Newton falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Braves host Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ) to face the Rangers in a NJAC - Colonial challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Wallkill Valley won 19-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Boonton (Boonton, NJ)
