In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) baseball squad edged the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), by a final score of 2-1.
With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Cavaliers host Galax (Galax, VA) to battle the Maroon Tide in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Maroon Tide come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Galax won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Narrows (Narrows, VA)
With the defeat, Grayson County falls to 9-3 on the season. The Blue devils host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a A Mountain Empire challenge on Friday, May 3. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 6-6.
