Illinois High School Softball - St. Bede gets by Bureau Valley
May 1, 2023: Peru, IL 61354 Spectators at Monday's league match between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the visiting Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), witnessed St. Bede's softball squad tip Bureau Valley by a count of 3-2.
The Bruins now sport a 17-5 record. They play next when they travel to Newman Central Catholic for a Three Rivers East match on Tuesday, May 2.
With the loss, Bureau Valley drops to 11-10 on the year. The Storm host St. Bede (Peru, IL) to encounter the Bruins in a Three Rivers East test on Thursday, May 4. The Bruins come into the test with a record of 18-5. St. Bede won 10-6 in their recent league test against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL)
