Kentucky High School Softball - Mason County gets by Rowan County
May 2, 2024: Morehead, KY 40351 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) and the host Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY), witnessed Mason County's softball squad tip Rowan County by a count of 6-5.
The Royals now sport a 16-7 record. They play next when they travel to Western Brown for a non-league match on Friday, May 3. Mason County will face a Broncos squad coming off a 10-6 league loss to New Richmond (New Richmond, OH). The Broncos record now stands at 18-5.
With the loss, Rowan County moves to 17-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to Estill County (Irvine, KY) to face the Engineers in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 7. The Engineers go into the match with a record of 9-12. Estill County lost 10-4 in their recent non-league match against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY)
