The Northwest Mohawks softball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Valley Indians to 1 in the Mohawks non-league win on Friday.

The Mohawks now possess a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern for a Southern Ohio II battle on Monday, May 5. Northwest will confront a Eagles team coming off a 28-2 non-league win over Glenwood (New Boston, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Valley moves to 7-13 on the season. The Indians host Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH) to confront the Senators in a battle on Monday, May 5. The Senators come into the battle with a record of 9-11.
