Arizona High School Softball - Red Mountain nudges Corona del Sol

Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Mountain Lions now own a 21-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Basha for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Red Mountain will battle a Bears squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 23-4.

With the loss, Corona del Sol falls to 13-16 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Badgers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Badgers enter the challenge with a record of 24-8. Tucson High Magnet School won 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ)
