Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Sweet Home Panthers (Amherst, NY), 17-4 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to City Honors for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4.

With the loss, Sweet Home falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY) to battle the Flames in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Flames enter the challenge with a record of 9-2.
