In Monday's league match, the host Marcellus Wildcats softball team scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Cassopolis Rangers.

The Wildcats (7-7) will now prepare for their match against Hartford (Hartford, MI). The Indians go into the Southwest 10 match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Hartford by Bangor (Bangor, MI), 4-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Rangers battle the Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 5. Cassopolis will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Hornets go into the match with a 12-1 record after their 16-1 non-league win over Athens (Athens, MI).
