Illinois High School Softball - Sycamore bounces Genoa-Kingston
May 5, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) and the host Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL), saw Sycamore's softball squad nip Genoa-Kingston by a count of 8-3.
The Spartans now sport a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard South for a non-league match on Saturday, May 6. Sycamore will face a Raiders squad coming off a 8-2 league win over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 8-7.
With the loss, Genoa-Kingston falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Cogs host Rochelle (Rochelle, IL) to face the Hubs in a non-league match on Saturday, May 6. The Hubs enter the match with a record of 5-14. Rochelle lost 14-0 in their recent league match against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL)
