The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA) and the visiting Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA), observed Hanover Area's softball team get by Greater Nanticoke Area by a tally of 9-6.

The Hawkeyes (5-12) will now prepare for their bout against MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA). The go into the Wyoming Valley 4 bout with a 0-10 record. In their last bout, MMI Preparatory School was routed by Berwick (Berwick, PA), 21-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Holy Redeemer Royals (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 7. Greater Nanticoke Area will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 16-0 league win over MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA).
