The Vernon Hills Cougars volleyball team (Vernon Hills, IL), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL)

The Hawks (17-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 25-1 record. In their last challenge, Glenbard West nudged Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
