Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Storm now own a 10-14 record. They take the field next when they host Armstrong for a Vermilion Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Salt Fork will face a Trojans squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Iroquois West falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Raiders host Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8.
