The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) and the host South Point Pointers (South Point, OH), saw Russell's baseball team gain a win over South Point by a tally of 9-2.

The Red Devils (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Fairview (Ashland, KY). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Fairview was overwhelmed by Blazer (Ashland, KY), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Pointers face the Dawson-Bryant Hornets (Coal Grove, OH) in a Ohio Valley battle, on Wednesday, May 7. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Hornets enter the battle with a 4-10 record after their 11-2 league loss to Rock Hill (Ironton, OH).
