May 7, 2024: Sylvania, OH 43560 The Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Toledo Christian Eagles to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now have a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anthony Wayne for a non-league game on Thursday, May 9. Northview will confront a Generals team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Scott (Toledo, OH). The Generals record now stands at 13-6.
Match Summary
SYLVANIA - The final home match of the inaugural year of Northview Boy's Volleyball took place on Tuesday night where, before the match, the Class of 2024 was honored for the Cats and it was all Northview with the victory in straight sets to move the Cats to 15-6 on the season.
Leading for Northview was Christian Berling with 20 kills, hitting .485, 13 digs and 5 aces to pace Northview. The Cats received 7 big kills from Addison Suon and and 10 big-time digs from freshman libero, Gavin Smith. The offense was set by Dillon Ersig who had 32 assists and 8 digs. Northview also received 8 digs from John Richmond.
The Cats will play their final match on Thursday, May 9th at Anthony Wayne.
