Indiana High School Softball - New Washington topped by Charlestown
May 7, 2025: Charlestown, IN 47111 Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN), 18-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Charlestown upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Brownstown Central (Brownstown, IN) to play the Braves in a Mid-Southern game on Thursday, May 8. The Braves enter the game with a record of 6-10. Brownstown Central lost 4-0 in their recent non-league game against Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN)
The Mustangs now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to South Central for a Southern game on Thursday, May 8. New Washington will play a Rebels squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 6-9.
