Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Southern Wells Raiders (Poneto, IN), 7-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Monroe Central improves its record to 1-14 on the year. The Golden Bears host Centerville (Centerville, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Thursday, May 8. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 7-6. Centerville lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Shenandoah (Middletown, IN)

The Raiders now hold a 1-15 record. They play next when they host South Adams for a Allen County game on Thursday, May 8. Southern Wells will play a Starfires squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Jay County (Portland, IN). The Starfires record now stands at 12-2.
