The Cowan Blackhawks overwhelmed the host Monroe Central Golden Bears softball squad by a count of 8-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Blackhawks meet the Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 25. Cowan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 12-1 non-league loss to Lapel (Lapel, IN).

The Golden Bears (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wes-Del (Gaston, IN). The Warriors go into the Mid-Eastern challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Wes-Del held off Union City (Union City, IN), 8-0, in a non-league challenge.
