The Union County Patriots softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears to 2 in the Patriots non-league win on Monday.

The Patriots now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tri for a Tri-Eastern battle on Tuesday, May 6. Union County will confront a Titans team coming off a 10-0 league win over Winchester Community (Winchester, IN). The Titans record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Monroe Central moves to 0-14 on the season. The Golden bears travel to Southern Wells (Poneto, IN) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 7. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 1-14. Southern Wells lost 13-2 in their recent league battle against Heritage (Monroeville, IN)
