Illinois High School Baseball - Prairie Central loses to St. Joseph-Ogden
May 7, 2026: St. Joseph, IL 61873 St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), 10-0 in a league match.
With the triumph, St. Joseph-Ogden advances its record to 24-2 on the season. The Spartans host Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL) to battle the Comets in a non-league match on Saturday, May 9. The Comets come into the match with a record of 5-16. Reed-Custer lost 9-2 in their recent league match against Streator (Streator, IL)
The Hawks now have a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Deer Creek-Mackinaw for a non-league match on Friday, May 8. Prairie Central will battle a Chiefs squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Chiefs record now stands at 16-8.
