Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Bluffton Tigers (Bluffton, IN), 12-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Jay County improves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Patriots travel to Eastern (Greentown, IN) to play the Comets in a non-league game on Saturday, May 9. The Comets enter the game with a record of 8-9. Eastern won 5-3 in their recent league game against Delphi Community (Delphi, IN)

The Tigers now hold a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Adams Central for a Allen County game on Monday, May 11. Bluffton will play a Jets squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Heritage (Monroeville, IN). The Jets record now stands at 1-10.
