Maine High School Softball - John Bapst Memorial bounces Washington Academy
May 8, 2023: Bangor, ME 04401 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME) and the visiting Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), witnessed John Bapst Memorial's softball squad tip Washington Academy by a count of 8-2.
The Crusaders now sport a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ellsworth for a Class B North match on Tuesday, May 9. John Bapst Memorial will face a Eagles squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Washington Academy moves to 2-6 on the season. The Raiders travel to George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME) to face the Eagles in a Class C North match on Wednesday, May 10. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 2-6. George Stevens Academy lost 11-5 in their recent non-league match against Searsport (Searsport, ME)
