Maine High School Softball - Ellsworth bounces John Bapst Memorial
May 9, 2023: Ellsworth, ME 04605 Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME), 8-1 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Brewer for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. Ellsworth will battle a Witches squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME). The Witches record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, John Bapst Memorial falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Hermon (Hermon, ME) to battle the Hawks in a Class B North challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Hermon lost 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Nokomis (Newport, ME)
