In Thursday's league game, the host Mathews Blue Devils baseball team scored a nice 30-0 win over the Charles City Panthers.

The Blue Devils (8-7) will now prepare for their game against Northampton (Eastville, VA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 1-11 record. In their last game, Northampton was overwhelmed by Nandua (Onley, VA), 10-9, in a league game.

Next, the Panthers play the Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) in a Tidewater game, on Monday, May 12. Charles City will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Chargers go into the game with a 8-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to King William (King William, VA).
