The Portland Highlanders softball squad (Portland, CT), was routed 12-0 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils (Durham, CT)

With the triumph, Coginchaug Regional improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Blue Devils host St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT) to face the Saints in a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. The Saints enter the contest with a record of 7-7. St. Bernard lost 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT)

The Highlanders now hold a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Westbrook for a Shoreline - Large contest on Monday, May 12. Portland will face a Knights squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT). The Knights record now stands at 2-9.
