The Palma Chieftains baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Monterey Toreadors to 5 in the Chieftains league win on Friday.

The Chieftains now hold a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they host St. Francis for a PCAL - Gabilan test on Monday, May 11. Palma will play a Sharks team coming off a 1-0 league win over Salinas (Salinas, CA). The Sharks record now stands at 8-16.

With the defeat, Monterey drops to 12-12 on the year. The Toreadors host Soledad (Soledad, CA) to play the Aztecs in a PCAL - Gabilan test on Monday, May 11. The Aztecs go into the test with a record of 8-16. Soledad won 16-8 in their recent league test against Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA)
