Illinois High School Baseball - Mt. Pulaski gets by Athens
May 10, 2021: Athens, IL 62613 Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Athens Warriors (Athens, IL), 4-2 in a league test.
With the win, Mt. Pulaski upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to battle the Bombers in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 12. The Bombers come into the test with a record of 1-6. Argenta-Oreana lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL)
With the defeat, Athens falls to 3-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to North Mac (Virden, IL) to battle the Panthers in a Sangamo test on Tuesday, May 11. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 8-0. North Mac won 9-1 in their recent non-league test against Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL)
