South Dakota High School Softball - McCook Central/Montrose bounces Parkston
May 10, 2024: Salem, SD 57058 McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Parkston Trojans (Parkston, SD), 19-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Cougars now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton for a Class B challenge on Tuesday, May 14. McCook Central/Montrose will battle a Titans squad coming off a 17-2 non-league loss to Parkston (Parkston, SD). The Titans record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Parkston falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Avon (Avon, SD) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 7-12. Avon won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Wagner (Wagner, SD)
