Maine High School Lacrosse - York overwhelms South Portland
May 11, 2024: York, ME 03909 The York Wildcats (York, ME) lacrosse triumphed over the visiting South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 14-4 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, York upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to battle the Clippers in a non-league outing on Wednesday, May 15. The Clippers go into the outing with a record of 8-1. Yarmouth won 15-8 in their recent non-league outing against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME)
With the defeat, South Portland drops to 4-3 on the season. The Red riots host Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to battle the Trojans in a Class A outing on Wednesday, May 15. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 7-1. Thornton Academy lost 16-9 in their recent non-league outing against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME)
