Maine High School Lacrosse - Thornton Academy can't get by York
May 18, 2024: York, ME 03909 York Wildcats (York, ME) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), 11-10 in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now have a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Yarmouth Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 21. York will face a Panthers squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 5-6.
In their next game, the Trojans face the Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 21. Thornton Academy will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Capers come into the test with a 11-1 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Marshwood (South Berwick, ME).
