Maine High School Lacrosse - Cape Elizabeth overwhelms Thornton Academy
May 11, 2024: Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 The Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) lacrosse overwhelmed the visiting Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), 16-9 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Capers now have a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they host Falmouth for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 15. Cape Elizabeth will face a Navigators squad coming off a 18-1 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Navigators record now stands at 7-2.
In their next game, the Trojans face the South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) in a Class A test, on Wednesday, May 15. Thornton Academy will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Red Riots come into the test with a 4-3 record after their 14-4 non-league loss to York (York, ME).
