New Jersey High School Softball - Westwood bounces Lyndhurst
May 11, 2024: Washington Township, NJ 07676 Westwood Cardinals (Washington Township, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lyndhurst Golden Bears (Lyndhurst, NJ), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 8-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paramus Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. Westwood will battle a Paladins squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ). The Paladins record now stands at 14-10.
With the loss, Lyndhurst falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Golden bears travel to St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ) to battle the Gaels in a NJIC - National challenge on Monday, May 13. The Gaels enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. St. Mary lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Weehawken (Weehawken, NJ)
