The Covington Buccs (Covington, OH) softball routed the visiting Riverside Pirates (De Graff, OH), 7-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Buccs (14-3) will now prepare for their bout against Greenville (Greenville, OH). The Green Wave go into the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Greenville held off Sidney (Sidney, OH), 13-2, in a non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Milton-Union for a Three Rivers bout on Saturday, May 14. Riverside will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to Troy (Troy, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-9.
