The Covington Buccs routed the host Riverside Pirates softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Buccs (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sidney (Sidney, OH). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Sidney topped Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH), 6-5, in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now sport a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Houston for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 7. Riverside will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-11 league loss to Anna (Anna, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
