The Marvin Ridge Mavericks softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Northern Guilford Nighthawks to 2 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Marvin Ridge improves its record to 20-3 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 16. The Cavaliers come into the game with a record of 12-13. Cuthbertson won 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
