Columbia City Eagles (Columbia City, IN) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting East Noble Knights (Kendallville, IN), 1-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Columbia City upgrades its record to 14-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Leo (Leo, IN) to play the Lions in a Northeast Eight game on Wednesday, May 14. The Lions enter the game with a record of 18-4. Leo won 10-0 in their recent league game against Huntington North (Huntington, IN)

The Knights now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Goshen for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. East Noble will play a RedHawks squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Mishawaka (Mishawaka, IN). The RedHawks record now stands at 4-13.
