The Franklin Central Flashes edged the visiting Roncalli Royals softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Flashes meet the Fishers Tigers (Fishers, IN) in a Hoosier Crossroads challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Franklin Central will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Carmel (Carmel, IN).

The Royals (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN). The Golden Bears enter the non-league challenge with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Shelbyville edged Mooresville (Mooresville, IN), 5-3, in a non-league challenge.
