The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Roncalli Royals (Indianapolis, IN) and the visiting Westfield Shamrocks (Westfield, IN), observed Roncalli's softball team get by Westfield by a final score of 8-7.

The Royals (16-4) will now prepare for their bout against Speedway (Speedway, IN). The Sparkplugs go into the non-league bout with a 3-6 record. In their last bout, Speedway was nipped by Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN), 17-7, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Shamrocks battle the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 9. Westfield will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 9-5 league loss to Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, IN).
